Since 2006, the group has invested over EUR140 million in its operations in order to add capacity and improve productivity and environmental standards. Investment in the form of the Senior Term Loan, aims to support a long standing partner of IFC by enhancing the capacity of UniCredit Srbija to provide: (i) term funding to agribusiness sector and (ii) access to finance to lower income population for mortgage financing.

IFC to Invest up to $75 million in Komercijalna Banka ad Beograd in Serbia

Komercijalna Banka ad Beograd (“KBB” or the “Bank” or the “Company”) is the largest locally owned bank in the Serbian banking sector, ranking the 2nd by total assets in the country. Operating since 1971, KBB is a universal bank offering a full range of banking services to its more than 750,000 clients in retail, corporate, SME, and municipal sectors. Headquartered in Belgrade, KBB has developed a strong domestic franchise and expanded to Bosnia & Herzegovina and in Montenegro. The Bank currently employs more than 3,000 staff.

IFC to Contribute with up to EUR 20 million of Greenfield Metal Stamping Factory in Serbia

CLN Group, and Proma Group, two Italian automotive suppliers (the “Sponsors”) have decided to jointly invest in Serbia in a Greenfield metal stamping factory (the “Project”). The Project will be located in Grosnica, a supplier park dedicated to FIAT’s new plant in Kragujevac.

IFC and EBRD to Repay a Loan of up to €35 million to EVN Macedonia in Macedonia

This is a repeat investment for an original project (ESM Macedonia # 26093) that was appraised in 2007 and committed in 2008. EVN Macedonia AD (the “Company”) is the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia’s (“FYR Macedonia”) sole electricity supply and distribution company serving more than 640,000 customers and a population of 2 million people. In order to finance the Company’s investment program, in 2008 each of IFC and EBRD provided a long term loan of € 35 million (IFC’s project number #26093).

IFC to invest up to €50 million to CEZ Shpërndarje in Albania

CEZ Shpërndarje SHA (the “Company”) is the power distribution company of Albania, which was privatized in 2009. The Company operates under the power distribution system operator and retail public supplier licenses, serving around 1.1 million customers. The project is to provide long-term financing to the Company to support its 2009-2013 investment program, which is aimed at reducing distribution losses, enhancing operational efficiency, improving reliability of electricity supply and connecting new customers (“the Project”).

IFC 6 million Euros until 2015 to Finance Small Hydro Projects in Albania

The proposed project is an early stage equity investment in a holding company in Albania to be established with the purpose of investing in small hydro projects with up to 15MW capacity (the “Project”). IFC’s investment will be an up to EUR 6 million equity investment for up to 20% of the share capital of the company.

EIB and the National Bank of Serbia Sign 100 million EUR worth Finance Contract for Second Tranche

The European Investment Bank as the lender, the Republic of Serbia as the borrower and the National Bank of Serbia as the agent, signed the EUR 100 million worth Finance Contract on the disbursement of the second tranche of the fourth Apex Loan of the European Investment Bank worth EUR 250 million. The Loan is to be used for financing of projects in the Republic of Serbia involving small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and medium capitalised enterprises (mid-caps).
