Accounting Law on Accounting - 1991 Published in the Official Gazette of the Czech Republic (No. 563/1991), part 107 on December 31, 1991. One insignificant amendment was passed in 1994 (No. 114/1994) and another insignificant amendment was passed in 1997 (No. 227/1997). An important amendment was passed on December 12, 2000 by Law No. 492/2000 that became applicable on January 1, 2001. Charts of Accounts and Accounting Procedures - 1993 Chart of accounts and accounting procedures for businessmen (double-entry bookkeeping) - promulgated by the Ministry of Finance in 1993 and continuously amended. Chart of accounts and accounting procedures for budget and allowance organizations and municipalities - promulgated by the Ministry of Finance in 1993 and continuously amended. Chart of accounts and accounting procedures for banks - promulgated by the Ministry of Finance in 1993 and continuously amended. Chart of accounts and accounting procedures for insurance companies - promulgated by the Ministry of Finance in 1993 and continuously amended. Chart of accounts and accounting procedures for health insurance companies - promulgated by the Ministry of Finance in 1998 and continuously amended. Chart of accounts and accounting procedures for beneficial organizations - promulgated by the Ministry of Finance in 1996. Chart of accounts and accounting procedures for civil pools (associations) and another non-profitable organizations - promulgated by the Ministry of Finance in 1993 and continuously amended. Accounting for physical persons (simple-entry bookkeeping) - promulgated by the Ministry of Finance in 1992 and in 1995 and thereafter continuously amended. Contents and arrangement of individual company accounts (financial statements) - 1993, 1995, 2001 The Ministry of Finance issued a decree about the contents and arrangement of individual company accounts (final accounts) for all types of charts of accounts. The decree was published in the Ministry of Finance's Financial Newsletter in 1993 and has been amended continuously. Collection "International Accounting Standards and the Czech Accounting Legislation" - 1998, 1999, 2000 The University of Economics in Prague is currently working on the up-to-date book edition (in collaboration with Arthur Andersen Prague) and the electronic version (in collaboration with Union of Accountants of the Czech Republic). International Accounting Standards 2000 The publishing company Bilance published an official translation in book form in 2000. Ethical Codex of Approved Accountants of the Union of Accountants - 1998 Published in book form by the Union of Accountants of the Czech Republic in 1998. Auditing Law on Auditors - 1992 and 2000 On January 1, 2001 a new Law on Auditors came into force. It was published in the Official Gazette of the Czech Republic (No. 254/2000). Until December 31, 2000 the previous Law on Auditors (No. 524/1992) was in force. During the time it was in force, it was amended three times. Auditor's Directions (Standards) - 1998, 2000 Published in book form by the Chamber of Auditors of the Czech Republic in 1998 and 2000 and amended continuously. Bankruptcy Law on Bankruptcy and Compensation - 1991 Published in the Official Gazette of the Czech Republic No. 328/1991 on August 16, 1991 and amended continuously. Checks and Bills of Exchange Law on Checks and Bills of Exchange - 1950 Published in the Official Gazette of the Czech Republic No. 191/1950. The most recent legislation was enacted by Law No. 29/2000, published in the Official Gazette of the Czech Republic) Civil Code Civil Code - 1964 Published in the Official Gazette of the Czech Republic No. 40/1964 and amended continuously.
